About Me!

Hi there! Welcome to my website!

My name is Kari Ergmann, and I am an actor, singer, director, and aspiring intimacy coordinator from Fairfield, CT!

I discovered acting through an extracurricular class at my elementary school. I was introduced to performing on stage in my first show, Shrek The Musical Jr. I had the time of my life and knew the stage was where I was meant to be.

In 2019, I decided to take my acting journey more seriously, and I was accepted into Black Rock Theater's (formerly Broadway Method Academy) High School Musical Theatre Conservatory program.

In this program, I took rigorous classes five days a week, including tap, ballet, jazz, advanced acting, song interpretation, and audition techniques. In addition to these classes, I performed six shows yearly. I am so grateful for everything I learned from incredible instructors.

In the summer of 2023, I was selected and invited to perform in my first regional theatre production of Anything Goes!, directed by Tony Award Winner Cady Huffman. Our rehearsal process was ten days long, and I learned how to quickly learn material and what it takes to be a professional actor.

In January 2024, I had the opportunity to perform at the Westport Country Playhouse in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella in the role of Charlotte. I worked alongside Broadway legends such as Antonio Cipriano, Cady Huffman, Kaitlyn Davidson, William Ryall, Ta’rea Campbell, and many others.  In a production review, Nancy Sasso Jannis from the Patch wrote, “Ergmann… is a delight as the stepsister Charlotte. Both actors hold their own against the Broadway professionals, with Ergmann getting a chance to shine in my favorite, “Stepsister’s Lament.”

In the fall of 2024, I began my journey toward my BFA in Drama at The School of Drama at The College of Performing Arts at The New School. I have been part of three main-stage productions (and counting) and have learned from the best of the best.

At TNS, I am concentrating in Acting and Directing, but have also taken classes in playwriting, movement, design, creative technologies, theatrical clown (yes, I have two degrees in theatrical clown), and so much more!

“I'm happy that I have brought laughter because I have been shown by many the value of it in so many lives, in so many ways.”

- Lucille Ball
